SUMMARY:Washington State Fair Education Week
DESCRIPTION:Communities In Schools of Puyallup will be distributing free books at our display in the Washington State Fair’s Education Pavilion on September 11\, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and September 14\, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Come learn more about what we do to empower Puyallup’s students in a fun and lively environment. We are always looking to make new friends and learn more about what we can do to improve the education for all students in the Puyallup School District. \nWe are also looking for volunteers to help the staff at the tables in the Education Pavilion as well as to assist in directing traffic to the Sparks Stadium Parking Lot. Proceeds from parking will go directly to support the valuable programs we provide the students and community of Puyallup! We will be staffing the table from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Wednesday\, September 11\, and from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday\, September 14. DESCRIPTION:This summer marks the beginning of Communities In Schools of Puyallup’s Annual School Supply and Backpack Drive. From August 5 through August 23\, school supply drop-off boxes will be available in numerous locations throughout the City of Puyallup. All donations made through this period will be matched pound-for-pound by Red Canoe Credit Union\, and will go directly to support a needy student in the Puyallup School District. With your help and donations\, we can ensure that every student in our community returns to school equipped with the supplies they need to succeed!
