Help Out

Communities In Schools of Puyallup is a great way for you to invest in the future of our students and our community. Here are some ways you can help out:

Transform a Child’s Life for the Better-Volunteer to be a Tutor!

Academic success and support from a caring adult are central in determining whether a student will make it or not. By giving just one hour per week with our Good Samaritan Readers Program or by meeting twice weekly as a math tutor, you can help ensure that struggling elementary students have the tools they need to stay in school and thrive. Your support and generosity can go a long way in transforming a young person’s life.

Provide Needy Children and Families With the Resources They Need to Thrive-In Kind Support

Unfortunately, many students in the Puyallup School District lack the basic resources they need to thrive in school. Without access to adequate food, clothing, school supplies, even shelter, these students are at a disproportionate risk of falling behind and dropping out. By providing something as simple as a book to read or a backpack, you can ensure that a needy child in your community has the supplies they need to become a successful student.

Fund an Organization that Works

We help thousands of young people realize their potential, but many more need our services. Help us expand our reach and deepen our level of support. For every dollar you donate, $11.60 is returned to the community!

You can also donate by doing what you already do like shopping on Amazon (AmazonSmile) or at Fred Myer.

Knowing more about your community will give you the resources to best help. Keep in touch with what we are doing in the community and sign up for our newsletter. You will be an insider on all of our events, student success stories, and ways to get involved.
