We are thrilled to announce our expansion into Walker High School! CIS of Puyallup will implement its site coordination program into Walker this fall as a crucial piece of the school’s Open Doors Program, which reengages students who have dropped out of school or are not expected to graduate.

Open Doors reengages disconnected youth through programs that encourage community partnerships, create multiple pathways for students to realize success, and provide an on-ramp to post-secondary achievement through a performance-based, individualized support model. This expansion marks CIS of Puyallup’s first implementation into secondary schools. Our Walker site coordinator, Mike Guza, brings a wealth of experience engaging with students from diverse backgrounds and with various learning needs. This background will help empower Walker students to achieve their goals and set them on a path to graduation, and a lifetime of success.

Our team is eager to meet this challenge head-on to empower a completely new audience of students and make a significant impact on our community. If you have any questions about CIS of Puyallup’s role at Walker High School, please contact Mike Guza at mike@cispuyallup.org or our program manager, Anna Hess, and anna@cispuyallup.org.
