CIS of Puyallup’s Annual School Supply And Backpack Drive
Help a child return to school ready to succeed!
Communities In Schools of Puyallup is partnering with several local businesses and organizations to organize a school supply drive. All donations will be distributed to students in need in the Puyallup School District.
School supply donation drop-off sites include the following locations. The list will expand as other sites are announced:
August 1-22:
- American West Bank, 13605 Meridian Ave. E.
- Columbia Bank, 4220 S. Meridian
- Key Bank’s three Puyallup area locations: 511 River Road; 3903 S. Meridian; and 15117 Meridian E.
- Foursquare Church, 601 9th Ave. SE
- Hair Masters, 1419 E. Main
In addition, CIS of Puyallup is partnering with Red Canoe Credit Union to host the “Fill the Canoe” school supply drive from August 4th – 22nd. In addition to several convenient drop-off locations throughout Puyallup, Red Canoe will have a large display in their lobby at 165th and Meridian for the public to fill with much needed items. Red Canoe will then match these donations pound-for-pound for an even bigger impact.
August 4-22:
- Red Canoe Credit Union’s two Puyallup area locations: 16510 Meridian St. E. and 601 39th Ave. S.W.
- South Hill Mall Food Court, 3500 S. Meridian
- Puyallup-Sumner Chamber of Commerce, 323 N. Meridian
- Washington State Fair Administration Building, 110 9th Ave. S.W.
- The City of Puyallup, 333 S. Meridian,
- Puyallup School District Education Service Center, 302 Second St. S.E.,

Items especially in need this year include backpacks appropriate for junior high and high school students, 2- to 3-inch three-ring binders, composition notebooks, graph paper; highlighters, colored pencils, markers, pencil pouches, binder dividers, filler paper, and spiral notebooks.
