For the fifth consecutive year, CIS of Puyallup partnered with Red Canoe Credit Union to host the “Fill the Canoe” School Supply Drive from August 4th – 22nd.
We are thrilled to report that we exceeded our original goal of collecting 3,500 pounds of donated school supplies. Due to the outpouring of support and generosity from our community, including the participation of 37 organizations and businesses that either held drives or hosted drop-off locations, the final tally came to 3,799 pounds, a bounty of more than $36,650.00 worth of supplies!
In addition, Red Canoe Credit Union made a pound-for-pound matching donation for an even bigger impact!
We would like to thank the following organizations and businesses for contributing to this community-wide effort. Your support has helped bring thousands of high need school supplies into 31 schools in the Puyallup School District. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!
