Starting at Firgrove has been amazing. Even though it’s still early in the year, I’m already connecting with students, building relationships, and earning their trust. I don’t have a single “big” moment to share yet, but I do have a story of consistency.
Every morning, I get to be a steady, caring adult—greeting students at the door, reinforcing fairness on the playground, honoring their need for space, and treating them with respect. Slowly but surely, those quiet moments are adding up. Now, students are running up to greet me before I can greet them.
This is what growth looks like: quiet, steady, and rooted in trust. I’m proud of how this journey is beginning, and I’m excited to see how far we’ll go together this year.
Meet Jamese
Jamese is one of our new Site Coordinators this year, and you can find her at Firgrove Elementary. She brings a wealth of knowledge and, even more importantly, an incredible enthusiasm for working with students. We are so excited to see the impact she will make as she continues to build strong, caring connections at Firgrove.
