This story was submitted by a parent of one of our Good Samaritan Readers students:
My son, Evan, has been a part of the Good Sam Reading Program for almost two years. He has had the privilege of having the same amazing tutor, Jerry, this entire time. With ever growing class sizes and educational gaps within those classes, it is not possible for teachers to spend individual time with each student. This is something that some students truly need to advance with reading. My son is one of those students and went from a poor/average reader to a great reader. Jerry has also provided consistency for my son in dedicating his time every Monday; which has been huge for Evan especially given his personal needs. We are very grateful for the program and for all Jerry has done!
